OGCB Suite is a collection of modules that provides essential features for the Open Government Community Builder (OGCB) platform. It includes functionality for group management, notifications, search, user profiles, private messaging, and general site enhancements, all designed to work as part of a pre-configured OGCB installation.
OGCB Suite is the companion module suite for the Open Government Community Builder (OGCB) recipe. It provides the features and integrations that power an OGCB site and is installed as part of the OGCB starter kit.
OGCB Suite is designed to run as part of OGCB. It assumes OGCB's content model – its group types, node bundles, view modes and configuration – and is not intended for use on a standalone Drupal site. The functionality is split into focused sub-modules, so each part of the platform can be enabled independently.
Sub-modules
- OGCB Group – Group functionality at the heart of the platform: a group dashboard, group menu and mute/unmute blocks, group tokens, access to the locations map, wiki root handling and Views integration (such as deriving the current group from the node in the URL).
- OGCB Notification – The notification layer, built on DANSE and Push Framework. It adds an in-app notification channel and notification events for comments and likes on group content, group membership requests (request, approval and rejection) and new user registrations, together with the matching recipient selectors.
- OGCB Search – Search features on top of Search API and Facets, including a header search block and Search API processors that expose group status and enforce group access on indexed content.
- OGCB User – User profile enhancements: a user actions block, an author block, a header login button and a user menu block, plus related profile preprocessing.
- OGCB Private Messages – A chat-style messaging interface built on the Private Message module, with a thread selector, asynchronous loading of messages and replies, and thread management.
- OGCB Helpers – Project-wide refinements that tie the platform together, such as a hero block and a marketing block, comment access handling, Leaflet map adjustments and theme tweaks.
- OGCB German Languagepack – A starting point for running OGCB in German. It installs the German language and ships interface translations and content language settings for the OGCB content model.
Requirements
OGCB Suite is built for Drupal 11 and is installed together with the OGCB recipe.
