Event is a custom entity that allows you to store events on your drupal site. The module is under construction with the Conference Organizing Distribution

Versions

Version one of this module includes the event_group and gevent sub modules. These modules depended on version 1 of the Group Module. In order to provide support for newer versions of the Group Module, these projects have been split into their own projects as part of Event Version 2. They are available below.

  • Event Group - For managing group attendees using Groups.
  • Group Events - For managing ownership/access to Events using Group Membership.

Installing

Composer is recommended for installing. Make sure when you require in or use composer update, you use --with-all-dependencies otherwise the machine_name core patch won't get applied. If you don't use composer, you must patch core yourself with the latest patch here: #2685749: Add a 'machine_name' widget for string field types with a UniqueField constraint

Older event module

The last release of this module was in Drupal 5 and is no longer supported. There is a D6 port that was started, but this has also been abandoned. If you're looking for support, you should contact Killes.
There is no upgrade path from D5/D6 to the D8 version of event.
