This module helps content editors check web pages for accessibility issues and broken links. It adds a dialog to the node edit form, providing direct links to external services like the W3C Link Checker, NU Html Checker, and Wave Web Accessibility Tool for on-demand page validation.

Web accessibility module is designed to assist content editors in checking web pages for accessibility and broken links. Once installed, it adds a dialog to the node edit form that provides links to three key web services:

  • W3C Link Checker
  • NU Html Checker
  • Wave Web Accessibility Tool.

Editors can click on these links to have the services check the current page's URL for accessibility and broken links, simplifying the process of maintaining web content that complies with standards and is user-friendly

Main features/ functionalities:

  • Accessibility and Broken Link Checks:

The primary function of this module is to facilitate the assessment of web pages for accessibility issues and broken links.

  • Integration with External Services:

When installing the module, a user-friendly dialog is seamlessly integrated into the node edit form. This dialog provides direct access to key external services that specialise in accessibility and link validation. These services include the W3C Link Checker, NU Html Checker, and the Wave Web Accessibility Tool.

  • On-Demand Validation:

When a content editor clicks on any of the provided links within the dialog, the module initiates a call to the corresponding external service with the URL of the currently edited page. This on-demand validation ensures that editors can instantly assess the page's accessibility and check for broken links without the need for manual data entry or complex procedures.

Installation:

After installation of the module a dialog appears on the node edit form, that links the web services.
