Project Summary
This module provides a better way to filter content in Views. Instead of a basic text box, you get a smart select list or autocomplete field.
Features
The Views Node Title Selector module adds a new Views filter that offers a user-friendly selection widget for node titles, including a select list, autocomplete field, or checkboxes. It improves usability, especially for large sites.
Its unique feature is its context-aware behavior. It automatically detects existing "Content: Type" filters in a View and populates the title list with only relevant nodes. It also allows you to freeze the list of nodes or exclude specific ones from the filter.
This module is ideal for creating an intuitive user interface for content filtering on administrative dashboards, making it easy to find specific content without typing.
Post-Installation
Once you install the Views Node Title Selector module, its functionality is integrated directly into the Views UI. There is no separate configuration page. To use it, simply edit an existing View, add a new filter, and search for "Node: Title (select/autocomplete)."
- Navigate to Structure > Views.
- Click Add in the "Filter criteria" section.
- Select Node: Title (select/autocomplete) and configure its options.
- Expose the filter to visitors, select your preferred widget type, and save the View.
