This module allows you to display an entity within a Drupal view's header or footer. It also provides an edit link for the displayed entity, which respects user permissions and can be configured to open in a modal, the settings tray, or inline.
This module adds a new plugin for displaying an entity in the header or footer of a view. It builds on the plugin provided by core by:
- Providing a single plugin that can work with all entity types (currently hardcoded to storage entities, but will soon allow selection using an autocomplete)
- Also providing a link to edit the displayed entity, which only appears for users with the necessary permissions
- The link can optionally open the form in the same page, in a modal, or in the settings tray (sidebar)
- One or more classes can be provided, for example to make the link appear as a button
