Varbase AI Answers Base (Ask AI)

Adds Ask AI to a site: a public question box that answers in plain language with numbered citations and source cards, grounded only in the site's own content.

The recipe applies Varbase AI Search Base for the vector index, then adds what answers from it: a retrieval agent that searches before it answers, answers only from what it found, cites inline and replies in the visitor's language; AI Answers with feedback and short follow-up history; and the permission for visitors to ask. On a Vartheme BS5 site an Ask AI pattern for Drupal Canvas holds the question, answer and sources blocks, already wired together.

It needs a default chat model and embeddings model. AI Search is experimental and AI Answers is beta, so this stack is too.

Best used with Varbase Starter site template.

Can be installed with any Drupal CMS ~2.0 or Drupal Core ~11 site. Even if installed with the Minimal or Standard profile.

However, using it with Varbase gives you way much more cool stuff!
