Trinion permissions

This module simplifies user permission management by focusing solely on content type access, allowing users to easily grant or deny creation, deletion, and editing rights for different content types without being overwhelmed by advanced Drupal settings. It provides a streamlined table interface for managing these specific permissions.

This module is multilingual. There are 2 languages available in it - Russian and English. The description of the module in Russian is available at the link.

Most users do not need all the options to configure the rights of users of the system. As in standard systems, such users only need access to the rights to configure access to the types of material: creation, deletion and editing. This development is designed just for such users. The module is a table with access rights, from which all “unnecessary” (unnecessary from the point of view of the content creator) settings are removed.

Features

What is the basic functionality?

Simplified (compared to the basic technology) user rights management system. With the help of the module, you are given the opportunity to edit only those rights that relate to deleting and editing types of materials.

When and why will someone use this module?

This module is not intended for administrators, but for Drupal users who manage multiple roles, but at the same time they do not need to deal in detail with each role individually. In this module, attention is focused specifically on access to the types of material.

What use cases are there?

This development is used entirely with open source, no integrations are used. You can use it at your own risk.

Post-Installation

How does this module actually work after installing it?

After installation, you will have a menu item in administration, which you can enter and see your roles from above in the column headers, and in the row headers the types of materials that you need to configure access to.

Should I go to the configuration page?

You should go to the configuration page, as this menu item is located there.

Is it worth looking for new types of materials?

This module does not create any new types of materials.

How it works

There are many access rights in Drupal to manage all parts of the Drupal system. This module removes those access rights that do not relate to the types of materials (field settings, taxonomy, theme settings, etc.) and issues only those that relate directly to the types of materials.
