Text Snip Formatter is a Drupal module designed to provide enhanced control over the display of text fields by allowing users to define specific snippets or portions of text to be displayed. This functionality is particularly useful for creating customized summaries or excerpts of content.​

Installation

Install as you would normally install a contributed Drupal module. For further information, see Installing Drupal Modules.​

Configuration

  • Navigate to Administration » Structure » Content types, and select the content type you wish to configure.​
  • Click on the "Manage display" tab.​
  • Locate the text field you want to configure and click on the gear icon to adjust its display settings.​
  • From the "Format" dropdown menu, select "Text Snip Formatter".​
  • Configure the formatter settings as desired, specifying the snippet length or other parameters.​
  • Click "Update", then "Save" to apply the changes.​
