styling_tables

Replaces Ckeditor5 default table button which guides users to make an html table. This project goal is to allow users to create accessible tables without touching code with the option to select a table class that comes from plugin configuration.

Features

Empowers the user to add html tables with ease by guiding them with a form and preventing users from making mistakes in content.

• Required header field: Row, Column or Both
• Removes the ability to add header columns anywhere in the table
• Setting headers can only be accessed within the balloon dialogue to prevent strange scenarios of misplaced header columns or rows
• Headers have appropriate scope= attribute applied
• Nested tables are not permitted.
• Styling Tables - After hitting the table button, a user has the option to chose from a specified set of styles that can be customized via plugin configuration

Editing a table is easy with the balloon toolbar buttons.

• Inserting rows / columns
• Merging and splitting cells
• Deleting selected table
• Toggle on/off caption area
• Enter table properties on the selected to modify the table

Post-Installation

• Configure text format - /admin/config/content/formats
• Configure the format that is actively used
• Drag the Styling Tables button to the toolbar
• Hit save configuration
