SpotFix

No security coverage Drupal 10–11
View on drupal.org

This module lets users identify and report content issues directly on your website. Users can highlight specific sections of a page, add descriptions and screenshots, and submit these "spotfixes" to administrators for review.

This project is obsolete and has been replaced by https://www.drupal.org/project/commenton

This module allows administrators and allowed roles to comment on site Web pages that need changes. When Spotfix is activated using the button, the mouse goes into selection mode, and grabs part of the page that is put into a pop-up. The user can then describe the issue and even add a screenshot. The comment is put into a database (linked under Reports), and an email is sent to the site administrator.

Features

Collects and manages Website Bug Reports and feedback by linking directly to the offending page content.
This module was created using Gemini, and the process is described at https://blogs.jamesrome.net/build_a_Drupal_module

Post-Installation

Once the module is enabled using drush, a button to activate comments appears on the bottom-right of every page for allowed roles.

I changed the name to CommentOn to avoid infringing on the name of the program that sparked the idea. I have moved the project to
