How SmartLinker AI Works

- Add Content – Paste or write content in CKEditor.
- Select Text – Highlight the text where you want internal links. (You can select the full content but we recommend not selecting more than 1500 words at a time as this might impact the quality of the internal links that AI chooses for your keywords
- Click on the "AI Assistant" dropdown in your CKEditor and select "Generate internal links"
- A window appears with:
- Target content types
- Focus keywords for SEO
- A preview of selected text
- A placeholder for the text that's enhanced with internal links
- Buttons to Generate Links and Save to the editor
- When you click on the "Generate Links" button, the AI scans your content and indexed pages and adds internal links seamlessly into your content.
- Review & Save – Make edits if needed, then click "Save changes to editor"

Quick Installation Steps
1. Set Up Zilliz Cloud
- Sign up on Zilliz Cloud and create a cluster (free: 1 cluster, 5GB storage).
- Copy the endpoint and API key from the cluster settings.
2. Set Up Milvus DB
- Install and enable the Milvus module.
- Copy the API token from Zilliz Cloud.
- Save it as a .key file and place it in the correct directory.
3. Configure AI Search Server
- In Search API settings, select AI Search as the backend.
- Choose Milvus DB and link it to your Zilliz collection.
- Create a search index, select Content as the data source, and configure indexing settings.
4. Define Fields for Indexing
- Content Type: Filterable attributes.
- Title: Main content.
- Body: Contextual content.
- Index additional fields as needed.
5. Set Up CKEditor
- Navigate to /admin/config/content/formats.
- Enable SmartLinker AI Module in CKEditor 5.
- Select the search index and OpenAI GPT-4o as the AI provider.
- Save the settings.
