Simple AVS is a lightweight module for Drupal sites that restricts content access based on age. It offers simple configuration options, including a yes/no question or date of birth entry, and allows you to set the minimum age, appearance, and targeted pages.

Simple AVS is a light weight cookie/ session based Age Verification System. It's meant to allow sites to maintain age restrictions on content. This does not replace systems requirements for strict age verification for content. It is a "bare minimum" approach.

Features

There are two types of age verification methods that can be used:

  1. A simple Yes/ No Question of: Are you over the age of (insert configurable age here)
  2. Users can enter their date of birth

A minimum age can be set- whether it's 18+ or 21+, or any arbitrary number, the frequency that the modal will show up, and what pages you want to include or exclude. You can set redirects for both success (over the expected age) and failures (underage viewers). You can also set the text you want to show up on various labels and buttons, and either use one of the preset color schemes or use the color picker to design your own through the UI.

Permissions include the ability to set rights for roles who can configure the module and roles that may skip seeing the modal.

Post-Installation

To configure this module go to: /admin/config/simpleavs. The configuration is relatively simple and intuitive. To test, set the prompt frequency to "On Every Page Load" and open up a new browser windows as an anon user. It defaults to showing up on the front page.

Additional Requirements

Nope. This is meant to be a light weight module.

This project is pretty self explanatory and stand alone. Not much to see here. It does what it does.

Similar projects

There's the Age Verification Module, but it never got ported to D10 and it appears to not have been touched in a couple of years. This module is more flexible in the type of age verification used on the page and adds more configuration options, while still being light weight.
