Sharerich provides customizable social media sharing buttons for your Drupal site, allowing you to add your own and choose from a variety of pre-included options like Email, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

Sharerich gives any Drupal site fast, accessible social share buttons — placed as a block, with markup you control.

Every button is an ordinary HTML snippet you can edit in the admin UI, and every part of it can be built from tokens, so the buttons pick up the title and URL of whatever page they sit on. There is no third-party sharing script, no iframe and no tracking pixel.

Why Sharerich

  • No third-party JavaScript. Buttons are rendered by Drupal from your own markup. Nothing calls out to a sharing service, so there is nothing extra to declare in a cookie banner.
  • You own the markup. Change an icon, a label, a share URL or a whole button from the UI — no theme override and no patch.
  • Token-driven. [sharerich:url], [sharerich:title] and [sharerich:summary] resolve against the node, taxonomy term or user profile being viewed, falling back to the current page and then the site.
  • More than one set. Build one set of buttons for articles and another for products, then place a block for each.
  • Horizontal, vertical or sticky. Chosen per block.

Buttons included

Email, Facebook, GitHub, Hacker News, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Pocket, Print, Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter/X, VK, WhatsApp and YouTube. Email, Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter are enabled out of the box; enable, reorder or edit the rest, or write your own.

Live demo

csvconverter.biz runs Sharerich.

Requirements

Drupal 9, 10, 11 or 12, and the Token module. The RRSSB styles and JavaScript are bundled with the module, so there is no library to download separately.

Installation

composer require drupal/sharerich

Then go to Structure › Sharerich to edit your button set and Structure › Block layout to place it. The README covers the rest, including the two buttons that need an extra allowed protocol.
