Schema.org Metatag AI

This module uses AI to automatically generate Schema.org structured data for your content. It adds a button to content forms that, when clicked, reads your content and fills in relevant schema fields like articles, products, or events. The module automatically configures itself for your installed schema types and ensures the AI only generates data that matches your content.

Schema.org Metatag AI

Tired of manually filling out Schema.org structured data for your content? This module brings AI automation to your Drupal
metatags.

What does it do?

Schema Metatag AI adds a simple "Generate Schema Metatag" button to your content forms. Click it, and AI automatically fills in
your structured data fields by reading your content. It works with any schema type you have installed: articles, courses, events,
products, recipes, organizations, people, places, and more.

Smart and Flexible

The module figures out which schema types you have enabled and configures itself automatically. When you install a new
schema_metatag submodule and clear your cache, it generates custom AI prompts tailored to that specific schema type. No manual setup
required.

The AI checks whether your content actually matches each schema type before generating data. Writing about a person? It won't try
to create course or product schemas. This prevents generating irrelevant or incorrect structured data.

Key Features

  • One-click generation of structured data for all your enabled schema types
  • Automatically discovers and configures new schema types when you install them
  • Built-in safeguards prevent the AI from making up information not in your content
  • Works with any schema_metatag submodule without code changes
  • Customizable AI prompts for each schema type
  • Optional field mappings to guide AI to specific Drupal fields
  • Automatically adds proper @context and @id values

Requirements

  • Drupal 10.4+ or Drupal 11
  • Schema Metatag module and your choice of submodules
  • AI module with a configured provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)

Getting Started

Install the module, configure your AI provider in the settings, and clear your cache. The module will discover your enabled
schema types and set itself up. Then just click the generate button when editing content.

You can customize the AI prompts and field mappings for each schema type through the admin interface, or let the auto-generated
prompts do the work for you.

Perfect For

  • Content-heavy sites that need accurate Schema.org markup
  • Sites with multiple schema types (educational institutions, businesses, news sites)
  • Teams who want to save time on manual structured data entry
  • Anyone who wants AI assistance without sacrificing data accuracy
