This module provides an accessible way to display videos, complete with subtitles, audio captioning, and transcriptions, specifically designed for Dutch governmental websites. It automatically populates video information from uploaded XML files and allows these videos to be added to content through Drupal's media fields, with options for how the media is displayed.

From version 2.0.0-alpha4 onwards, Rijksvideo only supports XML uploads from Rijksbeeldbank; embed/iframe input is not supported. If you have never upgraded to a version 2 alpha release before, it is recommended that you stay on version 1, which also supports XML uploads.

The Rijksvideo module is a module that could be used by Dutch governmental websites. It adds support for displaying video's in an accessible way including subtitles, audio captioning and transcriptions.

How it works

The module introduces a new media type: Rijkvideo. When an XML rijksvideo file is uploaded, it automatically populates all relevant fields with data from the XML.

You can add the Rijkvideo media entity to a node or any other entity that supports media fields. In the media settings section in Drupal, you can choose to display multiple accordions or a single download accordion.
