Really Simple Google Tag

This module makes it easy to add Google Tag Manager tags to your website. You simply provide your tag IDs and configure basic options for where they should appear. It's designed for simplicity and reliability, ensuring your tags fire consistently without complex settings.

Really Simple Google Tag is a tiny module which allows site administrators to quickly and reliably add one or more Google Tag Manager tags to their websites.

When configuring the module, the administrator just has to:

1. Provide one or more Google Tag Manager tag IDs (in the format GTM-XXXXX), one per line in a textarea
2. Choose whether to include the tag on paths beginning /admin (default: no)
3. Choose whether to include the tag on paths beginning /user (default: yes)
4. Optionally, specify one or more roles to exclude loading Google Tags for.

Oh, and:

5: Click save :)

That's it!

Isn't there already a Google Tag module?

That's a good question; yes, there is :)

This module differs from the Google Tag (google_tag) module in that while that module has a wide range of configurable conditions which can be used to very finely-tune when a tag should or should not be inserted, this module has a very simple set of conditions which govern when a tag will or will not be inserted.

This simplicity is designed to ensure that once configured, this module can be relied upon to insert tags, minimising the risk that tags may stop firing for long periods of time - e.g. due to a code change in the module - which can cause a loss of business-critical data from Google Tags which are no longer loaded.

In other words, this module's simplicity is its key differentiator from the other GTag module(s) which are available.
