plugin_configuration_field

This module provides a custom Drupal field type that allows site administrators to select and configure plugins directly through the field settings. It offers a flexible way to attach plugin-based functionality to content without custom code.

The field type provided by this module was extracted from Commerce Core and adapted to provide the same capabilities independently, without requiring it.

Installation

The installation of this module is like other Drupal modules.

1. If your site is managed via Composer, use Composer to download the Plugin Configuration Field module running composer require "drupal/plugin_configuration_field". Otherwise, copy/upload the Plugin Configuration Field module to the modules directory of your Drupal installation.
2. Enable the "Plugin Configuration Field" module in "Extend" (/admin/modules).
