This module automatically fetches the best available thumbnails for YouTube and Vimeo videos when they are added to your site, using metadata from OEmbed. It requires a core patch to function correctly.

This module attempts to download the highest quality thumbnails available from YouTube or Vimeo when a video is added. It's based on the suggestion in #2525808: How to customize video player (autoplay and such) ?, but built for Drupal 8+.

Note: Currently this module depends on the core patch from #3042423: Add new hook to Media module to modify OEmbed metadata to work.
