Octeasy adds a small button to every page of your public theme. It opens a reading comfort panel where each visitor adapts the display to the way they read. Their choices stay in their own browser.
What visitors can adjust
- Text: text size, a highly legible font or a dyslexia-friendly font, bold text, line, letter and word spacing, left alignment, shorter lines.
- Colours: dark or light high contrast, soft dark mode, inverted colours, softer or grey colours, tinted backgrounds.
- Reading aids: reading ruler, reading mask, magnifier, read aloud with the voices installed on the visitor's device.
- Navigation: underlined or highlighted links, outlined headings, a very visible keyboard focus, larger click targets, large cursor.
- Calm: stop animations, hide images, mute videos and audio.
- Eight profiles turn on several settings in one click.
How it works
This module is a connector. It stores your public site key and adds one script tag, loaded asynchronously from octeasy.com, to pages rendered with the public theme. Pages using the administration theme are left untouched.
- Install the module and give the "Administer Octeasy" permission to trusted roles.
- Paste your site key under Configuration > User interface > Octeasy.
Button colour, position and panel language are managed in your Octeasy account. The panel is available in French and English.
Requirements
Drupal 10.3 or later, 11 or 12, and an Octeasy site key, free to create in your Octeasy account.
Privacy
No cookies, no tracking, no personal data collected about your visitors. As with any resource loaded on the web, the Octeasy server receives the technical details of the request (IP address, browser).
What Octeasy does not do
It is a reading comfort tool. It does not make a site compliant with accessibility standards and does not replace an accessibility audit or fixes to your theme and content.
