Media Responsive Thumbnail
This module allows you to display media entities referenced in fields using responsive image styles, similar to how image fields are handled. It adds a new formatter for entity reference fields that target media entities, enabling them to use responsive image styles.
Important: This is for the Drupal 8+ Core Media module, not the "media_entity" or "file_entity" modules!
Synopsis
Do you like the Responsive Image module? Do you also like the Media module? Media Responsive Thumbnail brings both together in a happy marriage.
This module adds a new field formatter for Entity Reference fields which target Media entities. Essentially, it allows you to display a Media Entity Reference field just like you normally would an Image field with a Responsive Image formatter.
Requirements
This module requires the following Core modules:
- Media
- Responsive Image
Installation
Enable the module under the "Extend" tab of your Drupal installation.
Configuration
- Navigate to your Media reference field (or create a new one if needed).
- Under "Manage display", select "Responsive thumbnail" as the formatter.
- In the formatter settings (cogwheel icon on the right), select the desired Responsive Image style to display the image.
