This module allows you to integrate remote audio files into Drupal's media system. It provides a way to stream audio using link fields and offers an upgrade path for existing audio sources.

Adds support for remote audio streaming using link fields. Provides an upgrade path to convert the existing audio source to the audio_file source and formatter provided by Drupal core.
Sites that use 8.x-2.x can update to 8.x-3.x to upgrade and then uninstall this module.
Actively maintained, stable releases will be created once more testing is done.

Local audio files for the media module provided by Drupal core 8.4+. Superseded by the audio_file source in Drupal core. No longer actively maintained.
