media_download
Introduction
This module aims to facilitate the direct download of media entities from their canonical path.
After installing this module, all media entities will serve their source field as a direct download using an inline content-disposition. It's also possible to serve media using an attachment content-disposition.
Configuration
This module does not have any configuration.
Security Considerations
This module delegates access control to Drupal core's media module, which allows blanket access to view all media entities. If custom access controls are needed, consider writing a module to implement hook_ENTITY_TYPE_access().
Internal API Notice
This module does not intentionally expose any API meant to be used by other contributed modules. Semantic versioning is used, but only to convey meaning with regard to the functionality provided to sites.
Until such time that this module wishes to provide a public API, all interfaces are to be assumed for internal use only (unless otherwise explicitly stated).
