Lottie File integrates the Lottie animation library into Drupal, allowing site builders and content editors to upload and display lightweight, scalable JSON-based animations directly within their content.

Users can upload a Lottie JSON file and have the animation rendered automatically wherever the field is used, with a live preview available while editing.

Features

  • Upload Lottie animation files (JSON) and render them directly in your content.
  • Live preview of the animation while editing.
  • Configurable playback modes:
    • Default – plays the animation using its built-in settings.
    • Loop – plays the animation continuously.
    • Play once – plays the animation a single time.
    • On hover – plays the animation when the user hovers over it.
    • When visible – plays the animation when it scrolls into the viewport.
  • Lightweight, scalable animations that stay crisp at any resolution.

Post-Installation

After installing and enabling the module, add the Lottie File field to any content type (or entity) through the "Manage fields" screen. Configure the display and choose your preferred playback mode under "Manage display". Content editors can then upload a Lottie JSON file and preview the animation directly in the edit form.

Additional Requirements

This module relies on the Lottie JavaScript animation library to render animations in the browser. No additional contributed modules are required beyond Drupal core.
