This module automatically creates separate XML sitemaps for each microsite generated by LocalGov Microsites. It provides an index sitemap and an hreflang sitemap for each microsite, ensuring better search engine visibility.
The module provides an integration between LocalGov Microsites and Simple XML sitemap
Features
The module allow to create XML Sitemap for each microsite created.
Once a microsite is created, two XML Sitemaps are automatically created:
- Index Sitemap
- Hreflang Sitemap
Post-Installation
Once the module is installed two new Simple XML Sitemap types are created:
- LocalGov Microsite index: /admin/config/search/simplesitemap/types/localgov_microsites_sitemap_index
- LocalGov Microsite default hreflang: /admin/config/search/simplesitemap/types/localgov_microsites_sitemap_hreflang
The new types uses the newly created plugins:
- LocalGov Microsite sitemap index URL generator
- LocalGov Microsite entity URL generator
The new plugins are responsible to generate the appropriate URLs using the configured Microsite domain.
