Language Select Sidebar

Language select sidebar moves the language selector from the content area
of an entity edit form into the entity meta sidebar, alongside other
metadata such as the author and publishing status. This keeps the main
content area focused on content while making the language setting easy to
find and change.

The module integrates especially well with the
Gin admin theme, where the
language selector fits naturally into Gin's meta information panel.

Features

• Moves the language selector from the content form into the entity meta
  group
• Styled to match the Gin admin theme's meta sidebar
• No configuration required — works automatically once enabled

Requirements

No additional contributed modules are required, although
the Gin admin theme is
recommended for the best visual result.

Recommended modules

Gin everywhere:
brings the Gin admin theme's entity meta sidebar to all content entity forms,
not just nodes. Combined with this module, the language selector gets the
same sidebar placement on every content entity edit form.

Getting started

Enable the module. That's it — on any entity form with a language selector and a meta
group, the language selector will automatically move into the sidebar.
