Instant Translate
This module automatically machine-translates content entities as they are saved, using pluggable translation engines like DeepL. It offers configurable options to control which content is translated and can handle various field types, including HTML. The module also includes features for bulk translation and testing.
Instant Translate automatically machine-translates content entities on save, without a heavy translation-management workflow.
How it works: when a source-language entity is saved, the module queues it. Drupal cron (automated_cron, hourly by default) sends the translatable text fields to a pluggable translation engine - a DeepL plugin ships with the module, other providers can be added via #[TranslateEngine] plugins - and writes the results onto the entity's translations.
Scope is fully configurable: auto_mode off|whitelist|all with "type:id" / "type:bundle" / "type:*" patterns and an optional per-bundle field_limit keep translation budget under control. HTML fields go through provider tag handling; references, URLs and technical fields are never sent.
Includes a Drush command for bulk translation and dry runs (character counting), kernel tests with a fake engine, and handles paragraphs (empty-translation shells, revision repointing). Drupal 11, GPL-2.0.
