This module stores metadata, such as width and height, for styled derivative images in the database. This allows applications, especially headless ones, to access image dimensions without downloading the image files. Additional submodules can also add features like Blurhash generation or JSON:API integration.
The Image Style Metadata module stores metadata about derivative, styled images in the database as content entities. On its initial implementation it will only store the width and height of the image, but it can be extended to store more metadata.
The primary use case for this module is to provide easy access to the styled images metadata, without having to actually download the image. This could be helpful in frontend apps that have a headless Drupal backend.
The package contains also 2 submodules:
jsonapi_image_style_metadata: It denormalizes the metadata that are stored by this module and adds them on a computed field on the File entities' JSONAPI export.blurhash_image_style_metadata: It extends the stored metadata by adding a Blurhash.
