iDigit Gov Portal

iDigit Gov Portal is an install profile that sets up an Arabic-first, bilingual (Arabic and English) government portal on the iDigit Gov theme. It is a community contribution by iDigit. It is not an official DGA product and is not endorsed by DGA.

What you get

• Arabic as the default language without a URL prefix, English under /en; the iDigit Gov theme as the default theme.
• Content model: service, life journey, FAQ, news and basic page types, listing views, footer menus and a contact form (module idigit_gov_content).
• Block placements for the theme: branding, navigation, search, language switcher, account menu, breadcrumb, footer columns, feedback strip and chatbot (module idigit_gov_blocks).
• Required projects: the theme idigit_gov and the modules idigit_gov_sitemap, idigit_gov_feedback, idigit_gov_consent, idigit_gov_chatbot and idigit_gov_styleguide.
• Optional: fictional bilingual demo content for evaluation (idigit_gov_demo_content) and a Contact us webform on the contributed Webform module (idigit_gov_webform).

Why a profile
Configuration imported by a recipe is not translated by Drupal's locale system, which a bilingual product needs.

Requirements
Drupal core ^11.3 (tested on 11.4, PHP 8.4). Alpha stability must be allowed in your project (see the install guide). No security advisory coverage.

Install
Step by step, in English and Arabic: docs/install.md and docs/install.ar.md in the repository. In short: allow alpha stability, composer require 'drupal/idigit_gov_portal:^1.0@alpha' drush/drush -W, then drush site: install idigit_gov_portal --locale=ar. Tested from the release packages on a clean Drupal 11.4 site: the install completes, and all 33 site checks pass with the demo content.

Not yet verified
Drupal 11.3, 11.5 and 12; PHP 8.3; Firefox and Safari; real devices; a manual accessibility audit; native review of the Arabic strings.
