Hold My Draft

This module helps manage content revisions by allowing editors to temporarily pause work on unpublished drafts. This enables them to make urgent edits to the live, published version without losing their ongoing work. Once the live edits are complete, they can easily resume editing their paused drafts.

This module allows for simple maneuvering between a published revision and forward unpublished revisions. With core revisions, you cannot easily edit a published revision state without losing work or publishing work in progress.

The common use case:

Published revision
Many forward drafts with a new page section being written. Waiting on approval.

And then... a typo is discovered on the published page! What is a content editor to do? Hold my draft...

With Hold my Draft they can:

  1. "pause" work on the forward drafts
  2. make the needed edits to the published revision
  3. restore the drafts to the top of the revisions list
  4. ...and resume editing!

A draft-hold is initiated from the revisions tab.

Includes separate permissions for starting and completing draft-holds. Requires core content moderation module.
