GLightbox

Security covered Under active development 4,426 sites

GLightbox provides a modern, jQuery-free lightbox for displaying images, videos, iframes, and inline content. It offers features like gallery support, responsive images, keyboard navigation, and touch gestures.

GLightbox is a pure javascript lightbox (Colorbox alternative without jQuery). It can display images, iframes, inline content and videos with optional autoplay for YouTube, Vimeo and even self-hosted videos:

GLightbox Drupal module contains only images field formatter. You can install GLightbox Media Video module to support YouTube, Vimeo, self-hosted videos:

To display remote images from Media Remote Image (images hosted at external URLs, without storing the image files in Drupal) in GLightbox, install the GLightbox Media Remote Image module. It supports gallery grouping, token captions and HTML descriptions, and remote images can share a gallery with local images and videos:

For loading local videos, iframes, inline elements or AJAX content loading, you can use GLightbox Inline module.

Usage GLightbox Inline

  • Enable GLightbox Inline module. No other options or configuration exist.
  • Add the class `glightbox-inline` to an element and make href value a selector for the element you wish to open. Eg,
<a class="glightbox-inline" href="#user-login">User Login</a> will open a popup with the first element with the id #user-login as the content.
  • Optional add data-glightbox to the link to control the size of the modal window, for example data-glightbox="width: 700; height: auto".
  • If you want to display page in popup, just add path in href attribute: href="https://www.drupal.org/node/42" or href="https://drupalbook.org"
  • - You also can set href attribute with URL to video or image, for example: href="https://drupalbook.org/sites/default/files/video.mp4 or YouTube video href="https://youtu.be/g2coDPosRSs. Video will be playing automatically in popup.
  • - See more examples here: https://biati-digital.github.io/glightbox/
