This module provides a data source for the Geoblock module using MaxMind's GeoIP2 or GeoLite2 Country databases. It can automatically update the database weekly if configured with a download link, or it can be manually updated.
Introduction
This module provides a MaxMind data source plugin for Geoblock. This data source plugin is compatible with the GeoIP2 Country and GeoLite2 Country databases provided by MaxMind.
Features
- Databases are automatically updated on a weekly basis via cron if this module is configured with a permalink to the database file. Consult MaxMind's documentation for instructions on how to create a licensed permalink.
Configuration
Configure the module's settings by clicking "Configure" after locating the module in Drupal's module installation interface. The following settings are available for configuration:
- Download URL: A permalink where a MaxMind database archive in *.tar.gz format can be downloaded. If no URL is provided, the MaxMind database must be stored at
private://geoblock_maxmind.mmdband should be manually updated in accordance with your license agreement.
