This module allows you to add hreflang tags that link to content on external websites, even if those sites are not managed within the same Drupal installation. It is particularly useful for scenarios where you have multiple distinct websites for different regions or languages that need to reference each other for SEO purposes.
This project allows adding alternate hreflang for external sites
(not languages in Drupal).
This project requires metatag project and to complete it just access your metatag configuration and you'll check a new field called "External Hreflang".
Scenario: We have a site in Drupal for one country / market and it's other country sites are managed by different team or may it is separate Drupal installation.
Site 1: US with languages EN, ES, FR
Site 2: UK with language EN
Site 3: FR with languages EN, FR
Now if we want to add reference (hreflang) of FR of Site 3 in Site 1, this module is for you.
