File extension sanitization module cleans a problematic filename that may look like example.jpeg.jpeg. Such filenames can cause issues when creating derivatives for example imageapi_optimize_webp would create link to a file example.jpeg.webp.jpeg.webp but in the filesystem the file is example.jpeg.jpeg.webp.
