This module automatically creates taxonomy terms, using the entity's title, for any associated vocabularies when the entity is created. It works with all entity types, not just nodes.

The Entity Auto Term module provides the functionality that when a entity is
created, a taxonomy term is generated automatically using its title in any
associated vocabularies.

This is a similar module to NAT (https://drupal.org/project/nat) but it is built for Drupal 8 and will work with all entities.

It currently works with nodes but this won’t be to difficult to add the other entity types
