drush_tailwindcss

Provides a Drush command that wraps the standalone Tailwind CSS CLI.
This allows you to compile Tailwind CSS directly via Drush — no Node.js or npm required.

Supported Tailwind CSS version: 4.x

Features

• No Node.js needed — uses the official standalone Tailwind CSS binary
• Auto-detects input/output paths from your active theme's file structure
• Full Tailwind CLI option pass-through (--minify, --content, etc.)
• Binary is cached outside the module directory and survives composer updates

Available Drush Commands

• drush tailwind:install alias drush twi - Downloads the binary for the current platform
• drush tailwind:build alias drush twb - Compiles Tailwind CSS once (auto-detects theme paths)
• drush tailwind:watch alias drush tww - Watches for file changes and recompiles

Usage with no default theme auto-detection

drush tailwind:build --input web/themes/custom/my_theme/src/tailwind.css --output web/themes/custom/my_theme/css/style.css

Additional Requirements

• Drush (installed per project)
• Linux or macOS (FreeBSD is not supported).
