DROWL Media
This project provides default configurations and visual enhancements for Drupal's Media Library and media previews, especially when using the GIN or Claro themes. It also includes updates to core media field names and template structures in newer versions, with a focus on supporting Drupal Core Media.
DROWL media (entity) default configurations and enhancements. Furthermore better style for the Media Library & Media Library items preview (eg. in reference fields). Style enhancements requires the usage of the GIN or Claro theme (prefer the first one, we don't actively maintain the Claro styles).

- Swiper insted of Slick / Blazy version of 4.x - needs manual updates where Slick / Blazy was used!

4.x
4.x is the successor of 3.x making the switch to Drupal Core Media field names:
- field_document => field_media_document
- field_image => field_media_image
- field_video_file => field_media_video_file

Furthermore, other fields were added or cleaned up, see #3443688: [Meta] 4.x config changes and 3.x upgrade path
The media templates in 4.x were switched from Foundation to Bootstrap (#3436181: Replace Foundation Twig Templates with Bootstrap Templates) but 4.x will generally also allow to be used with Foundation by overriding and updating the templates.
Future development will happen in 4.x. Upgrading may involve larg manual steps, so consider whether it is worth it, take time and handle with care!
- Upgrade path is not complete until all tasks above are solved and the upgrade path is tested! Until that, all existing pages based on the old 3.x foundation branch should NOT update to 4.x!
- We've moved the bootstrap templates into the 4.x module. When upgrading from 3.x to 4.x on an existing foundation project, the foundation templates need to be used and the changed field names in the templates need to be updated accordingly!

3.x / 8.x-2.x
3.x is the SemVer successor of 8.x-2.x containing default stylesheets missing in 8.x-2.x.
Use 3.x for Drupal 9 and 8.x-2.x for Drupal 8 (deprecated) - required due to Core Theme changes in Drupal 9.
We're planning to keep 3.x supported and recommended for the future for existing Foundation sites with minimum maintenance
