Config Sync Without Site UUID
Normally, when doing a full site configuration import, Drupal requires the UUID in the config sync directory's system.site.yml file to match the UUID of the site into which the configuration is being imported. This is an intentional design decision by Drupal core to prevent various problems that can arise from using Drupal core's configuration importer to import configuration from an entirely different site.
This package suppresses that requirement. With this package installed, the UUID in the config sync directory's system.site.yml file is ignored, and after the import operation, the site's UUID is the same as what it already was prior to the import operation, or if it didn't have one already, is assigned a new random one.
To install and use this package, simply:
composer require drupal/config_sync_without_site_uuidThe mere presence of this package in the codebase (and in Composer's autoloader) overrides the configuration import behavior as described above. This package is not a Drupal module, so does not need to be enabled from Drupal's module listing page.
