As the amount of config on a site grows, it can become difficult to manage.
- A developer adding a new content type might configure it's display inconsistently with others.
- A new widget or formatter could be added, but updating all uses is tedious.
- Views can share default settings or override them, with no other way to share config.
- Default settings can't be set for widgets/formatters.
This module provides a way to set default config presets, and use them or other inherited config as the source of config settings.
Features
- Hierarchical config inheritance
- Config defaults and presets
- Config source overview
Post-Installation
Assign source config to dependent views/field settings.
