This module integrates Drupal with the Campaign Monitor API, allowing users to subscribe to and unsubscribe from email lists directly through your Drupal site. It also supports extending functionality with modules for user registration integration and creating email campaigns from Drupal content.

This module integrates the Campaign Monitor API into Drupal so you can give users the ability to subscribe and unsubscribe for your Campaign Monitor manage lists through a block on your Drupal site.

You must have an account with Campaign Monitor (http://www.campaignmonitor.com) to use this module.

Drupal 10+ Version

D10/11 version of this module is mostly an upgrade of the same functionality in D7 with the following modules:

  • campaignmonitor
  • campaignmonitor_user
  • campaignmonitor_registration

The Webform CampaignMonitor module has a stable release for D10+

Roadmap

  • An extra module called campaignmonitor_campaign is being built to allow a Drupal node type to be used to create campaigns, using view modes to generate the campaign. This is to a certain extent experimental; the biggest downside is that Drupal creates a ton of css and Campaign Monitor, even thought it makes the css inline, does not remove the css from the Head element in the final html template.
  • Campaign monitor local, which saves subscriptions to the Drupal CMS so that user subscriptions can be displayed via Views
  • Campaign monitor hold, which uses the local module to save the subscriptions before they are implemented and only subscribe users once they are activated - helps prevent spammers filling up your subscription lists.

Testing and feedback welcome.

Version 2.x (July 2019)

This is a rewrite of the D9 functionality creating services for Campaign Monitor and Campaign Monitor Subscriptions and upgrading code to be more standards compliant. Also makes custom fields accessible via the config.
Includes modules campaignmonitor_user and campaignmonitor_registration

Configuration:

  • settings for which custom fields, ordering and requires are done per CM list
  • block, user registration and user edit settings are all done via admin settings and would usually all be set the same or very similar.
