The module provides the carousel block. It uses the bootstrap carousel with all the features of bootstrap script.
All the info and available settings yon can see on the bootstrap page.
You can create a create carousel in easy way, just install module and add items in admin panel. After that place block in any region, that's all.

  • Possibility to use all the bootstrap carousel settings and elements
  • Alt and title attributes for images
  • Interval time in milliseconds
  • Control options (arrows, indicators, pause image cycling on mouse hover)
  • Excellent integration with image styles
  • Provides a carousel block
  • Suitable form for add/edit/delete/order carousel items
  • The module supports v3.x/v4.x/5.x of Bootstrap (default 5.3.3, for module versions bellow 2.1 - 4.6.0)

The module depends on bootstrap framework, so you need to use any bootstrap theme or include the bootstrap framework or just enable the module setting to include needed files (Bootstrap v5.3.3 for module versions 2.1 - 3.x)

Installation

To install Bootstrap Simple Carousel:

  1. You need to include the bootstrap framework, you can do it in many ways:
    • Download the v3.x/v4.x/5.x of Bootstrap
    • Use any bootstrap theme
    • Activate the "assets" setting in the module settings
  2. Enable Bootstrap Simple Carousel and all of the modules that it requires.

Which version of module should you use?

  • 8.x-1.65 - for drupal < 8.9
  • 2.0.1 - for drupal 8.9 - 10.x and bootstrap 3.x - 4.x
  • 2.1.0 - for drupal 8.9 - 10.x and bootstrap 5.x
  • 3.0.0 - for drupal 11 and bootstrap 5.x

Be aware that bootstrap 5 does not require jQuery, but e. g. bootstrap 4 - requires jquery version bellow 4.0

Tips

NOTE: if you will be use the image styles for bootstrap items, you need to set up the same width for the "bootstrap carousel" container
