blue_billywig
The Blue Billywig module connects your Drupal website to the Blue Billywig video platform, making it easy for editors to work with video content directly from the Drupal interface.
What editors can do:
- Browse and search the Blue Billywig video library from within the Drupal media library
- Import existing videos as Drupal media items with a few clicks
- Upload new videos directly to the Blue Billywig platform without leaving Drupal
- Use videos in content just like any other media item
How it works:
Once configured, the module adds Blue Billywig as a media source in Drupal. Videos are displayed on your site using Blue Billywig's configurable playouts, giving you full control over the player appearance and behaviour. Thumbnail images are automatically fetched from the platform and stored locally.
Large file uploads:
The module includes support for uploading large video files directly to Blue Billywig's storage, bypassing typical webserver file size restrictions. Uploads are resumable, so interrupted connections won't mean starting over.
Requirements:
A Blue Billywig account and API key are required. The module works with Drupal 10 and 11.
