Block List
Every block on your site, grouped by the module that provides it, with what it does and where it is used.
Core's "Place block" dialog shows a block's category, which is free text and often not the module that really provides it, and only one region at a time. Block List answers "which module gives me this block?", "what does this block do?" and "where is it used?" on one page. It never changes anything.
What it shows
- One group per module, one row per block, core included (blocks built into core itself are under "Drupal core (core/lib)"). The page is laid out like the Extend page and built on the same form, so it looks and filters the same way.
- Used or not at a glance: the box is ticked when the block is used, and the row says "Used in 3 places" or "Not used anywhere".
- What it does: open a block to read two plain-English sentences, written by hand for every block in core and for Chaos Tools, Facets, OpenID Connect, TFA and Sentinel blocks. Blocks made in bulk (one per menu, view, content block or facet) are described by name.
- Where it is used: under the description, a Region / Theme table of every placement. Turned-off placements and themes that are no longer installed are marked.
- Broken placements: blocks still placed after their module or content block was removed (the ones that show "This block is broken or missing"), with a link to remove each.
Where
- Structure > Block list (
/admin/structure/block-list), the first link under Structure - A Blocks (N) link next to each module on the Extend page, opening that module's blocks
drush block-list, with--provider,--unplacedand table, CSV or JSON output
Works with Module Filter
With Module Filter installed, the page gets its tabs (one per module) and its filter, exactly as on the Extend page. Module Filter is not required.
For module maintainers
Describe your module's blocks with hook_block_list_descriptions_alter(): two short sentences an editor understands, saying what the block shows and who sees it. See block_list.api.php. A block nobody has described says so; Block List never guesses.
Why it matters for government and regulated sites
Auditors and new staff ask what a site shows and where. Block List gives a plain-English inventory of every block and placement, and finds broken placements that show errors to the public and fail accessibility and QA scans.

Uninstall Impact: before removing a module, see what else goes with it. Block List shows which of its blocks are in use.

More Modules
- Drupal Cleanup: Finds and safely removes the data a Drupal site leaves behind, with backups, dry runs and records-retention controls for government sites.
- Module Cleanup: Lists uninstalled or deleted modules with leftover transient data and allows the admin to delete any leftover data. A fix for the "Module 'module_name' has an entry in the system.schema key/value storage" error.
- NIST for Gov: Reports that check a Drupal site against NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 controls, starting with API keys, passwords and tokens stored in plain text.
- Permissions Table: Fixes the permissions table by keeping its header fixed at the top and its horizontal scrollbar fixed at the bottom.
- Recipe Filter: Adds a "Recipe Type" sidebar menu to the Project Browser Recipes page, the same way Module Filter builds a sidebar for the Modules page.
- Sentinel: Warns people about danger where they are: FEMA public alerts, National Weather Service alerts and FEMA flood zones, with a warning when a flood alert hits a high-risk flood zone.
- Uninstall Impact: Shows what uninstalling a module deletes, before you do it.
