Autocomplete Deluxe
Autocomplete Deluxe enhances Drupal's autocomplete functionality with a widget for taxonomy terms. It offers a more flexible selection experience, similar to combo or select boxes, and supports multiple selections, including a "Chosen" like implementation.
This is an enhanced autocomplete element, that uses the jQuery UI autocomplete. It will also implement a widget for taxonomy.

If you want to deny adding new terms, then checkout Chosen. It converts select boxes to autocomplete fields.

Drupal 7 version
The Drupal 7 version of the Autocomplete Deluxe module is not supported on drupal.org anymore. The D7Security group has taken over maintainership on Gitlab. Follow the D7Security user guide to continue receiving security update notifications for the Autocomplete Deluxe module.
