Post-Installation

Once installed, follow these steps to start using the module:

• Go to Configuration → AutoAlt Settings:
  Enter your AutoAlt.ai API key and other optional settings.
• Visit Any Content Type with an Image Field:
  The module automatically enhances image widgets.
• Use the AutoAlt Button:
  On any image field, you’ll see a “Generate Alt Text” button.
  • Click it to automatically fetch AI-generated alt text.
  • The button shows a loading indicator and becomes disabled until the text is ready.
• Review / Save:
  Edit the generated text if needed and save your content as usual.

No new content types or text formats are required. The module works instantly with standard Drupal image fields.
