Alt Text Generator module automatically generates descriptive alt text for your Drupal images using AI to help you rank faster on Google and other search engines. This module integrates with the image widget by adding a button to generate alt text for images.

Customizable: Update and edit the AI generated alt text. You can also click on the Generate Alt Text button to generate alt text for each image.

Extensive Image Support: Supports the following image types: JPEG, JPG, PNG, SVG, AVIF, GIF, and WEBP.

SEO and Accessibility: Alt text generated is highly optimized to rank higher and improve SEO.

Post-Installation

Access the settings page at /admin/config/content/alt-text-generator to choose the language for alt text and add the API key for alt text generation. A button will then appear on image fields for generating alt texts.

This module requires an API key to work. You can get a free API key at Alt Text Generator Dashboard
