Features
This module provides centralized policy enforcement for Drupal AI. It adds policy profiles, provider/model allow‑deny
rules, privacy inspection, redaction, budget tracking, audit logging, and optional human approval queues.
Enable it when you need safe, compliant AI usage across Drupal AI integrations. Use cases include regulated content
workflows, local-only AI routing, high-risk tool calls, spend control, and provider fallback policies.
Post-Installation
After install, go to /admin/config/ai/policy-gateway. From there you manage gateway settings, policy
profiles, routing rules, model metadata, approval queue and audit reports.
There is no new content type; the module works as a control layer for Drupal AI provider requests. Configure policies
before you enable it for active AI workflows, especially when using AI Agents or regulated content.
Additional Requirements
Requires Drupal 10.3+ or 11 and the ai module. The module also depends on Drupal core system, user,
and datetime subsystems.
Optional integrations improve behavior when related AI ecosystem modules are enabled.
Recommended modules/libraries
Recommended enhancements include AI Observability/OpenTelemetry, AI Decision Log and AI Context Bridge for richer
logging, decision mirroring and context-aware policy metadata.
