This module allows you to display administrative pages in a different language than the frontend. It enables you to set a specific language for administrative interfaces, making it easier to work if your preferred administrative language differs from the site's primary language.
This module allows the users to browse particular pages in a specific language.
The classical use case is to allow displaying the frontend of the site in one language and still keep most of the backend in English (or another language of your choice), but it can have other usages.
What does this module do?
Without this module, if you edit a german page for example, the fields label and menu items will appear in german, which may be confusing if your work language is not german.
After configuration, the fields label appear in the language of your choice (here english).
How to use:
- Enable the new language detection method that is now available
- Define the language & path of application
Note:
If you use admin_menu, and exclude its path from the regular detection method, the menu will appear in english everywhere.
The module is an alternative to the admin_language module and is intended to be lighter and use the core detection mechanism of Drupal to display the administrative language.
