This module allows you to add an "Add to Calendar" button to your content. It supports popular calendar applications and can generate .ics files for easy import without relying on external services.

This module provides an Add to calendar formatter to any content entity using the Calendar Links PHP library and doesn't need to use external services or libraries.

From Calendar Links project:

The package can also generate ics files that you can open in several email and calendar programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar.

Installation instructions

  • Install as any other module (See Installing modules instructions)
  • Enable which content entity types are you going to use the module in (For example, "Content"). This can be done from /admin/config/user-interface/add-to-calendar
  • Configure the field position in the display settings of the bundles where you want to show the Add to calendar element, you need to also configure the fields used for the Add to calendar options and which types of calendars you want to use in the formatter.

Architecture / Components

  • A field type that enables add to calendar to provide a easier to use formatter.
  • A computed field that provides a calculated placeholder so the add to calendar doesn't use storage.
  • A formatter that allows easy placement of the Add to calendar element and configure the settings.
