Sector is a Drupal distribution that is ready to go and easy to administer - so you can develop and deploy Drupal websites faster and more efficiently.
The responsive Sector theme provides base typography, helper classes and general styles for components provided by Sector.

Sector 11 is coming soon!

A dev version is available for testing as stable support continues for Sector 10.

Why use Sector?

Sector is targeted towards Drupal site builders and site owners who are looking for a fully configured Drupal project out of the box. Content owners and editors will find an intuitive content management system, great authoring experiences and administration that does not require coding.

The preconfigured content types, file types, displays and views provide support for hierarchical, taxonomy, and search driven content strategies. The flexible and modular structure allows your Sector site to start small and grow big.

Sample content is provided to demonstrate the capabilities of Sector at one glance, and can be removed by disabling the sample content features.

Install via Composer

The composer-based Sector project template can be installed by running:

composer create-project drupal/sector_project_template sector

After Sector 7, we removed a lot of the initial code weight that was in Sector. In our new approach to Drupal Features, the Features previously needed for the Sector 7 EnterpriseKit and NZGovtKit have instead been moved into separate Sector add-ons.

Sector Drupal 8 and under

Sparks Interactive are no longer actively maintaining Sector D8 or Sector D7. We no longer provide Drupal security updates and regular health checks on unsupported versions. It is recommended you upgrade your site to Sector 10+ as soon as possible.
